There are 3 types of styles in the builder – block styles, inline styles and list styles.
There are 2 inline styles: Highlight and Special; 3 list styles: List 1, List 2 and List 3; and all others are block styles.
- The block style is applied to the whole paragraph of the text. It is not necessary to have the text selected to apply the block style – it is enough to have the cursor put somewhere in the text paragraph, and its style will change when selecting a block style in the text editor.
- For inline style it is necessary to select text part, since it is applied to the text part only. Note, that when setting inline style to the text, then block style remains. Therefore there might be such a confusion:
- you select the whole text;
- select one of inline styles – Highlight or Special;
- try to change style for the same selection to any block style;
- the style is not changed!
It happens because inline style is applied above the block style making the block style not visible. When you change the block style, it is changed, but is still not visible under the earlier selected inline style. To fix this issue, select the whole text and click on active inline style in the text editor to unset it from the text. Then you should start seeing the block style on that text. - The list style should be used only when using lists in the text. The list style is applied to the color of bullets or numbers.
Alternatively, you can select the whole text and select button "Tx" in the text editor to clear all formatting. Then apply style to the text again.
